Last run

Its 8.51am on a fine Wednesday. Jes is off to exam hall for her last paper. Mine is at 2pm and thus here I am, awake, and still lazing around before I start the engine to get everything into my tiny lil brain before 1pm. I promise to do so after I finish writing this post.

I am a lil nervous for the paper later but all that I can think of is what an amazing day tomorrow will be. Anyhow, I will still need to focus on what's up in a couple of hours time. One last run and I want to use every fiber and muscle in my body to make sure I complete it with victory!!!!!!!!!!!Just like him..
So ciao. Will be back here soon...hopefully.

XOXO

Winter

9 minutes to class....

It's almost Winter..By season, there is a few days left. By temperature, it is gradually getting to winter day temperatures. I remembered it was about 6 degrees celcius last night. Thank God for a warm home. Anyways, I just randomly want to share a few tips on keeping ourselves warm during this exciting season.

What to do?
- Drink a 100 degree celcius drink and it will instantly make you feel 10 degrees warmer. I totally got that this morning as I was late and tried to finish up the whole cup of hot chocolate.

- Wear a thick jacket. Preferably water proof as it tends to rain more in this season.

- Have a really thick blanket. It keeps you warm throughout the night.

- For the ladies, boots are awesome. Just got myself a pair of boots and I realized it can really make me feel warmer.

* If you dont have a thick jacket, go get one. The problem is that, those really good-looking ones can be quite costly. Thus one way to save on that is to hibernate under the blanket all the time. The weather, makes you eat more, exercise less, sleep more and becomes fatter thats for sure. To be honest, I dont have a really thick one. My blanket is really good at keeping me warm though. However, hibernating there is not such a good idea especially when daddy is paying fees in Aussie Dollar which is crazily high nowadays. So the only thing I can do is layered-up..It's working well so far. I still manage to escape sickness after 2 winters. Not even a common cold.

Nevertheless, winter is still great. But I still prefer Autumn or Spring. That is because the temperature is just nice. A thin jacket will do the job. Thongs will be alright too..You wont feel like your toes were about to drop off. Other than that, it just makes going to the beach more inviting.

But this post is about Winter. So just say HELLO to the single digit temperatures.

Done! 0 minutes to lecture. Have to run!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

After weeks of assignments and tests due, my housemates and I suddenly came out with a random idea to spend a weekend in Melbourne. Air ticket was super cheap. It only costs us $30 for return tickets and so we just spontaneously and randomly agree to that crazy idea. Eventhough it was just a 48 hours trip, it was fun...

Just some photos.

The houses along that beach. Each of us pick the one we love most. The one in the middle and the house.

Excited about the spicy-ness?

Desire

Only as high as you reach can you grow, only as far as you seek can you get, only as deep as you look can you see, only as much as you dream can you be.

Shhh....

Have you ever realize that there are things that you just couldn't say? Well, I have a lot of those. Things that should only be kept in the heart because I know, once I let it out, it might explode and be a disaster.

So for now and maybe till death, I will lock those thoughts in my heart and not let anyone else know. Silence shall be the secret code to success.

Screwed

28th of April. My day is screwed from the minute I left the house. Walked halfway to realized that I forgotten my calculator that is necessary in the test I am going to now. Called my friend but she did not pick up as she is in class. Continue walking to find the door of Brookman Hall closed. Isn't the exam carried out there? Why is the door closed? Then as I opened the door, I see a hall full of people sitting down attentively writing. I walked towards an empty table which happens to be infront and sat down. With my heart pumping at perhaps 180 beats per minute, I took out my pen and started reading the question and writing down the answer.

I did not have enough time to think through everything so I don't think I did well or as I hope to do. Anyway, now I have to get over it and start working on my other report.

Stumble? It's ok. As long as you know how to stand up again!!!

No Other Way

Updates to my previous post!

Holiday had officially began and it's actually the 5th already. It wasn't exactly productive. But it's time to relax before the second half of the semester kicks in.

The other thing from the previous post was about work. Let me tell you what happened. Before that, I shall turn the clock back to 4 months back when I first reached Malaysia. It was one fine afternoon when I decided to go to pharmacies to ask if I can have work experience there. I got my job from the second pharmacy I visited. That was the great as it was close to mum's office so she don't have much to complain about. I was really lucky as I just walked in without resume or anything and the boss just said 'Alright' to me. And now, I am back here looking for work experience in pharmacies, I have no other way but to do the same. However, I am more prepared this time round. I printed my CV and resume and went to pharmacies to see if they are willing to accept me. This time round, it's not that easy. I visited pharmacies in city and in suburbs. I guess it's really because of the competition, all of them took my resume and told me they will contact me later if it's available. That is only like a polite way of saying 'No'.

Then, as I was visiting the pharmacies in North Adelaide, a suburb that is close to where I stay, my luck just boosted-up. One of the pharmacy said yes to me and told me to go in on Saturday. I don't think they will pay me but that's not a problem for me anymore. Sometimes, it meant that you need to sacrifice something before you can achieve something even bigger. Having to be able to work in a pharmacy will help me so much in my resume and in looking for a job in future. For the record, I went into 8 pharmacies before succeeding. Therefore, there is seriously no other way than to persevere on and not give-up! Always believe in yourself and know that you can get what you want!

So, Thank God for that and I promised myself that I will take this opportunity seriously.

Going for Vietnamese food tomorrow and I am excited!! Apparently, we are going to 2 Vietnamese restaurant tomorrow! One for the durian smoothie which my friend strongly recommended and the other one for the extra delicious pork balls cold rolls!

Holiday is just so NICE!!

Random

Well, this is a random post. Done with my report and test and just one more to go before the holiday kicks in. Wohoo. Well, who doesn't get excited about holidays?

Apart from all that, in the midst of the thought of having a relaxing and enjoyable holiday, I am actually also in the midst of looking for job. I don't know. I guess that's cause work experience is really important in Australia unlike Malaysia. Correct me if I am wrong, but, in Malaysia, no student really work part-time unless they are having financial problem. Over here, if you don't work or have nothing impressive to put on your resume, you are missing out. Perhaps, you won't even get a chance to get to the interview stage. That's way, I really really hope to be able to find one.

Now, let me tell you the progress. I found this UniLife casual job notice the other day so I tried that out. Sent in my cover letter and stuffs and guess what, the guy replied me and offered an interview. Met him on Thursday and I do find him a little cute. He is really friendly and nice. And the best thing is, he said yes and I got the job. Well, that's just a casual work but it is at least a good start. That job involves talking to people so I guess I can say that I have a strong communication skill which is vital for a pharmacist. Sent in a couple of resumes and CV to pharmacies and I hope to have something. I know it's going to be hard but I am not giving up. I will work for it!!!!!

Alright now, took pictures of some random stuffs so just going to post it up!!

Just a random sister photo and to the

Another piano..This is near City East which is my campus.

Indeed I love my family. Isn't the little thing adorable?

Its written 'YEONGAILOW is family'. Its the surname of my household. Love them!

A little sotong found in a bag of ikan bilis.

Cant tell how small they are from the previous post? Well, compare it with the ikan bilis head then. So cute and funny so I just have to capture it.

Till then. XOXO!

Catch up

It's week 3 in Uni now and it's Thursday already and that means even week 3 is coming to an end. I have a report and a draft due next week and I am far from done. I am actually supposed to at least complete the report this week so I can formulate my product during practical tomorrow but that report is far from done. I dont know what to do. I just think the report is too difficult for my academic level. My brain just cant do it. Anyways, other than the report, I have 2 test coming up in Week 5 and week 6 respectively. But I am not quite worried about that as I know after the report and draft is done, I can totally focus on that and I dont think it would be that bad.

Week 7 is the week I am looking forward to now. It's Easter break and that would be 2 weeks. Cant wait yo. I guess what dad says is true. Living a student life is rather comfortable. Study for 7 weeks then you get a 2 weeks break. Nice.

So please please pray for diligence in completing my report and to persevere on till the upcoming holidays.

Will update this real soon to write things other than studies as this is getting more boring. Right?

Fingers on Keyboard

I don't know why but I just felt like typing something down here. I don't really have a point I want to focus on so it would most probably be like reading my babbles. In University now and I am supposed to research for my practical so I can get my report done. But guess what, I dont like doing that. I dont mind practical but report is just not my thing. I am really not good at it. Probably I should say I am really bad at it. Anyways, I should just continue right, cause the internet at home is not working yet. Gosh, I hate TPG. Why cant they come like asap to fix the line. Not being able to online at home makes me really grumpy. I cant do any work at home. So, life at home is really good now. I go home to cook, eat then games. Later at night movies. After all that, I will go to bed. haha. Sounds so good but also because of that my pile of work is building up day by day. Gosh. Everything is due in 2 weeks and I am so going to work my ass off starting this weekend even if the internet is not working at home yet. I will go to Uni to do it and I wont mind even if its till late night.I promise.

Having a group meeting in 30minutes. Hopefully its not going to be weird. Well, I know the guy but I have never talked to him. Then the other 2 girls, well, what can I say? I dont really like them as the first impression they gave me wasnt that great after all. It makes me think they are last minute workers and right now, I dont really appreciate it as there are tests coming up and I dont want to do this at the 11th hour when I need to study for the tests.

I love my life now cause I live with great people. It feels so so good!! Had soup yesterday and I was awesome. I felt like I am at home. haha..

Ok done babling. *Close blog and continue researching*!

Ox Tongue

The title itself grossed you out? Look at the dish on top, it doesnt look that bad, does it? Anyways, the I tried this the last time I went to Melbourne. It's a restaurant named Menya and Ox Tongue rice is one of their specialty dish. I thought it would taste disgusting too but I mean, just give it a try. Why not right? Once I put that into my mouth, the flavours were so great that I fell in love with it since then. Going to Melbourne again tomorrow before Uni starts this year. Can't wait to eat that again!! Yum.Yum...

Unlocked

Its 12.58am and I am now in the computer area in Uni because I got locked out of my apartment. Basically, I left the key in the apartment and sadly, I will have to wait till 9am before I can call my landlord so that she can bring the spare key to open the door for me. Hopefully she dont charge me for that. Oh well, I have another 8 hours to go and I am already feeling hungry and tired. Just wana sleep. But I believe I can get through this.

Ps: People, please remember to bring your keys out!

Love and Worry

It's Valentine's day and what's wrong if I choose to express my love to my family instead of to a guy? Right? I am kinda worried today as I got a text from Mum saying that she is in the hospital. Well, she started not feeling really well yesterday complaining of chest pain and I joked about it. I told her it must be because I am not around anymore. Apparently that doesnt seem to be the case as the symptoms continues today. So I think she went for a check up or something. She texted me later today again saying she is out of the hospital. Anyhow, I am still rather worried. Just hopefully everything is really alright.
Seriously, the person I love the most on earth is definitely my MUM!

Back!

First and foremost!- Dear Yamashita, sorry for not updating this blog since I am back in Malaysia. Life is too good back there. Hah. Blog is like so unimportant then.

Anyways, 13/02/2011 and I am finally back to Oz land. This time, the feeling sucks. It's my first time flying alone all the way without friends. Transiting alone and just doing everything alone. An Australian man sat next to me during the flight and he seems to be a really nice guy. He offered me some biscuits and we chit chatted a bit. But when I transitted back to Adelaide, there was no one next to me so the feeling is slightly worse. But thank God I am back here in one piece without depression. Huh.

Let's recap on what has been happening for the past 2 months while I am back home. Believe or not, I worked. It's not my first job but I would say it's my first serious job. I did not leave after the first few days but managed to persevere on for the whole promised 2 months. Well, I am proud that I did that. A 8.30am to 6pm job is quite long hour. Had to sacrifice all the fun of life. Had to turn down friends' late meet-ups. Had to skip lunch with family. But believe it or not, the outcome was more than what I would have expected. I've learnt so much from my colleagues and from my boss. Bless them for being so patient with me. I've got to say, I am totally a slow learner and I make mistakes all the time but still, I wasn't kicked out. Get to learn stuffs, get to know people, get to see people and get paid. Isn't it just great? Just a photo of that.

Ok. Enough with work. Of course, the great celebration at home. It's Chinese New Year. Gong Xi Gong Xi into the year of Rabbit. It's a great oppurtunity to meet all my cousins who are backed from KL and to just talk and laugh and eat and gamble. Well, did not gamble alot this year so my gamble account is still negative. But it's not about the money. It's about each others' company that lifts up the whole environment. Did not manage to upload pictures taken from Mum's family so pictures below are cousins from Dad's side.

The group- at my house!
I guess, that's about it for now. Will try to update fairly frequently.
Live life to the fullest!Appreciate those around!
