Screwed

28th of April. My day is screwed from the minute I left the house. Walked halfway to realized that I forgotten my calculator that is necessary in the test I am going to now. Called my friend but she did not pick up as she is in class. Continue walking to find the door of Brookman Hall closed. Isn't the exam carried out there? Why is the door closed? Then as I opened the door, I see a hall full of people sitting down attentively writing. I walked towards an empty table which happens to be infront and sat down. With my heart pumping at perhaps 180 beats per minute, I took out my pen and started reading the question and writing down the answer.

I did not have enough time to think through everything so I don't think I did well or as I hope to do. Anyway, now I have to get over it and start working on my other report.

Stumble? It's ok. As long as you know how to stand up again!!!

No Other Way

Updates to my previous post!

Holiday had officially began and it's actually the 5th already. It wasn't exactly productive. But it's time to relax before the second half of the semester kicks in.

The other thing from the previous post was about work. Let me tell you what happened. Before that, I shall turn the clock back to 4 months back when I first reached Malaysia. It was one fine afternoon when I decided to go to pharmacies to ask if I can have work experience there. I got my job from the second pharmacy I visited. That was the great as it was close to mum's office so she don't have much to complain about. I was really lucky as I just walked in without resume or anything and the boss just said 'Alright' to me. And now, I am back here looking for work experience in pharmacies, I have no other way but to do the same. However, I am more prepared this time round. I printed my CV and resume and went to pharmacies to see if they are willing to accept me. This time round, it's not that easy. I visited pharmacies in city and in suburbs. I guess it's really because of the competition, all of them took my resume and told me they will contact me later if it's available. That is only like a polite way of saying 'No'.

Then, as I was visiting the pharmacies in North Adelaide, a suburb that is close to where I stay, my luck just boosted-up. One of the pharmacy said yes to me and told me to go in on Saturday. I don't think they will pay me but that's not a problem for me anymore. Sometimes, it meant that you need to sacrifice something before you can achieve something even bigger. Having to be able to work in a pharmacy will help me so much in my resume and in looking for a job in future. For the record, I went into 8 pharmacies before succeeding. Therefore, there is seriously no other way than to persevere on and not give-up! Always believe in yourself and know that you can get what you want!

So, Thank God for that and I promised myself that I will take this opportunity seriously.

Going for Vietnamese food tomorrow and I am excited!! Apparently, we are going to 2 Vietnamese restaurant tomorrow! One for the durian smoothie which my friend strongly recommended and the other one for the extra delicious pork balls cold rolls!

Holiday is just so NICE!!

Random

Well, this is a random post. Done with my report and test and just one more to go before the holiday kicks in. Wohoo. Well, who doesn't get excited about holidays?

Apart from all that, in the midst of the thought of having a relaxing and enjoyable holiday, I am actually also in the midst of looking for job. I don't know. I guess that's cause work experience is really important in Australia unlike Malaysia. Correct me if I am wrong, but, in Malaysia, no student really work part-time unless they are having financial problem. Over here, if you don't work or have nothing impressive to put on your resume, you are missing out. Perhaps, you won't even get a chance to get to the interview stage. That's way, I really really hope to be able to find one.

Now, let me tell you the progress. I found this UniLife casual job notice the other day so I tried that out. Sent in my cover letter and stuffs and guess what, the guy replied me and offered an interview. Met him on Thursday and I do find him a little cute. He is really friendly and nice. And the best thing is, he said yes and I got the job. Well, that's just a casual work but it is at least a good start. That job involves talking to people so I guess I can say that I have a strong communication skill which is vital for a pharmacist. Sent in a couple of resumes and CV to pharmacies and I hope to have something. I know it's going to be hard but I am not giving up. I will work for it!!!!!

Alright now, took pictures of some random stuffs so just going to post it up!!

Just a random sister photo and to the

Indeed I love my family. Isn't the little thing adorable?

Its written 'YEONGAILOW is family'. Its the surname of my household. Love them!

A little sotong found in a bag of ikan bilis.

Cant tell how small they are from the previous post? Well, compare it with the ikan bilis head then. So cute and funny so I just have to capture it.

Till then. XOXO!
